Vee-Bar Markers must be displayed in situations where the threshold of a runway has been shifted temporarily. At smaller airfields, where the runway is less than 18m wide, a single 'V', 6 meters long, coupled with a gable bar, also six meters long must be displayed on either side of the runway. At larger airstrips however (i.e. where the runway is more than 18m wide), two Vee-Bars and a gable are to be placed on either side of the runway. Weather Watch Vee-Bar Markers are made from white, 'Series 3', UV stabilized materials, giving maximum durability while providing excellent ground visibility. Vee-Bar Markers are made to Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) recommendations. |
